Happy New Year 2019

No Comments News

The Christmas season reached its conclusion for Warminster Brass Band with our traditional appearance at Morrisons in Warminster on Christmas Eve to entertain the last-minute shoppers. Aside from supermarket performances, the band performed at the switching on of the Christmas lights in Warminster, at Center Parcs near Longleat (see photos) and at the Christmas Tree Festival held at the Minster Church in Warminster.

We also played at a number of smaller events in the area, including carolling at The Red Lion in Heytesbury, the Conservative Club in Warminster and in Dilton Marsh.

If you are interested in booking Warminster Brass Band for your event for Christmas 2019, please get in touch using the details on our Contact page, or via our Facebook page. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible, as our calendar for the Christmas season is always very busy.

As always, the band is looking for new members. We are a community band and do not go to competitions, however we perform frequently at various local events big and small. We also put on our own concerts from time to time. Players of all ages and abilities are welcome and we play a wide variety of music. If you are interested in playing with us but do not own your own instrument, you are welcome to borrow from the band’s small stock of instruments.

The band rehearses every Monday at St Johns Church Hall, Boreham Road, Warminster from 7:45pm to 9:15pm. If you are interested in joining or would like more information, drop us a message via our Facebook page or feel free to drop in to see us during one of our rehearsals.

From Warminster Brass Band, we wish you a very Happy New Year and hope to see you in 2019!
